The European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons counted on the Dr. Alió’s didactic course ‘Topo and Wavefront Guided Ablation’
Dr. Jorge Alió participated virtually once again in the annual winter meeting of the European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) as a keynote speaker. On this occasion, the ‘26th Winter Meeting‘, held from February 18 to 20, 2022, and offered in its program Dr. Alió’s didactic course of ‘Topo and Wavefront Guided Ablation’. More specifically, he took part in the third part of the ‘Therapeutic Techniques: Corneal Surgery’, from the Didactic Course on Refractive Surgery.
The professor of Ophthalmology at the Miguel Hernández University (UMH, Elche – Spain), also moderated -along with his colleague David Spalton- the symposium named ‘IOL fixation in the absence of capsular support. Is there a best buy?’. Jorge Alió -founder of the Vissum ophthalmology clinics (Miranza Group)- has been, for the past year, a member of the governing body of the ESCRS, one of the most important institutions in the world of ophthalmology. Its annual congress, again presented entirely in an online format, brought together the best professionals in the different fields of eye health.
ESCRS is one of the most important associations of ophthalmology professionals in the sector, and one of its main objectives is to promote education, research in the field of implants, refractive surgery, and the study of intraocular lens implantation. All these aims were highlighted in the prestigious international congress that the ESCRS association organizes every year.
