Dr. Alió is invited as an expert to the Conference on Glaucoma and Cornea of the Tel Aviv University

It is the first time that Dr. Alió attended this meeting as a member of the Board of Directors of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery

Dr. Jorge Alió has recently attended the 12th Annual Meeting of IISEMS (The Institute for International Scientific Exchanges in Medical Sciences) organized by Tel Aviv University in Israel. Dr. Alió, the professor of Ophthalmology at the Miguel Hernandez University (UMH) of Elche, was invited as an expert to participate in a conference on glaucoma and cornea. It is the first time that Dr. Alió attended this meeting as a member of the Board of Directors of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Jorge Alió, the scientific director of the Vissum ophthalmology clinics, shared his knowledge and experience with eye care professional from all over the world. The topics ranged from corneal procedures and transplants to glaucoma surgery, including such topics as how to protect the corneal transplant in patients with glaucoma, glaucoma management after corneal transplantation surgery, as well as ocular surface disease management with topical glaucoma treatment.

Jorge Alió, an expert in diseases of the anterior segment of the eye, has been elected as a member of the Board of Directors of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, one of the most important ophthalmological associations in the medical field. ESCRS promotes education and research in the field of implant and refractive surgery. Moreover, it seeks to promote and support research in the field of intraocular lens implantation and refractive surgery, in which Dr. Alió, has been recognized the first international reference in the lists of experts in the anterior segment, refractive surgery and cornea, according to the international biomedicine ranking ‘Expertscape’.
